Here is a quick update on Box 73:
Forwarder for Box 73:
- The forwarder we used was MSE Cargo. However, we haven't received any updates from them for the past few months as well as our contact from their company is unreachable despite multiple follow-ups. We are suspecting that they have already abandoned the shipment to the Bureau of Customs and have no plans to submit the necessary documents to release the containers with our box.
Current Status:
- The box is still on-hold at the Bureau of Customs. As much as we would like to directly follow-up on the box, the courier failed to provide the necessary details of the container (e.g Bill of Lading) in which we are consistently asking ever since the box has been on-hold.
Next Action Plan:
- Recent news from the Bureau of Customs stated that they will be delivering balikbayan boxes from abandoned shipments (https://www.facebook.com/reel/25464215739934845). In line with this, we are hoping that our box will be included and will wait until January 31, 2026 for delivery at our PH Address. In case we haven't received the box after the said date, a separate email will be sent for the refund process on February 1, 2026.
